Job Overview As an AVP SDET you will join a team of talented developers in test and work on next generation application software to enhance our engineering best practices, tools, design patterns and frameworks.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product, engineering and other domain teams to understand features, develop and automate test cases, improve product quality and shorten release time from dev to production.
Using different software testing methodologies to deliver quality software.
Coordinating and driving E2E testing with cross‑domains.
Identify manual processes and solve through automation.
Shift left mentality to drive scenarios that belong in the testing pyramid.
Work with software engineers to understand product architecture and features.
Participate in code reviews to advocate and improve code quality and coding standards.
Create and maintain data scenarios to support test plans and test cases.
Analyze test results, being a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
Document and track bugs to closure.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software.
Mentor team and individuals on best automation practices, design and implementation.
Document and maintain respective processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related degrees.
Minimum of 7+ years of hands‑on experience in software development in test automation, concurrent coding skills in a language like Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience in building automation frameworks and/or contributing to the frameworks.
Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST / MicroServices).
Experience in UI and API testing.
Experience with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, Jest, or Jasmine.
Experience with code versioning tools (Git, SVN).
Core Competencies
Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Experience with JIRA or similar Agile process tools.
Experience with defect management and test management tools.
Excellent SQL knowledge with the ability to write complex queries for validation and review of stored procedures.
Familiarity with BDD and/or Cucumber.
Experience creating strategies to cover vendor integrations.
Follow Scrum/Agile development methodology.
Strong application debugging skills.
Positive attitude and ability to complete assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
Experience with open source libraries to bring in efficiencies.
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
Pay Range $113,700–$189,500 per year
