The Cyber Threat Analyst I ensures that ACA's IT systems and underlying infrastructure are implemented and managed securely. The Analyst is expected to independently learn and understand ACA’s operations, people, and systems. The InfoSec team fully engages with IT and the business, avoiding information hand‑offs to other departments. Success is measured by depth of knowledge of ACA’s operations, people, and systems.

Essential Functions

Partner with IT to design, implement, and maintain secure systems and networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security devices.

Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security risks and vulnerabilities.

Develop and implement security measures, policies, and procedures to protect systems and networks against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security incidents.

Monitor and analyze security logs and events and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure security requirements are incorporated into system and network design, development, and implementation processes.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT and network engineering teams to ensure security controls are effectively implemented and maintained.

Stay updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends, and recommend improvements to security posture.

Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery.

Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees and users about security best practices.

Monitor security systems such as firewall, IDS, and EDR, ensuring alerts are tuned appropriately.

Understand ACA’s business operations, systems, and support development/implementation of security policies and procedures.

Audit processes and systems.

Document, communicate, and follow up.

Qualifications

BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Cybersecurity certifications relevant to security operations (e.g., CompTIA CySA+).

Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).

Strong system architecture fundamentals (Windows, Linux).

Performance‑driven and quick learner of new technologies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Understanding of Information Security best practices.

Solid oral and written communication skills.

Solid collaboration skills.

Team‑work oriented.

Time management and organizational skills.

Python and PowerShell knowledge is a plus.

Initiative to learn the ACA environment.

Job Details Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

Two full‑time positions: day shift (7:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts) and night shift (10:00 pm–9:00 am, 10‑hour shifts, 4‑day workweek). Schedules available Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.

Travel:

No travel expected.
