About the role
This is a temporary role with the possibility to transition into a permanent role. We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to join our exciting and expanding video department. At Footballco, we live at the intersection of soccer and culture and are looking for creative and innovative candidates passionate about the beautiful game from the grassroots to professional levels.
Our U.S. video team is responsible for producing best in class editorial and commercial content for our channels and brand partners. You’ll be joining a team with a start‑up mentality, hungry to tell soccer related stories and grow the sport in the U.S.
Successful candidates know how to manage a post‑production workflow and are talented video editors. They’re strong communicators who work well on a deadline and thrive when the ball is handed to them for that extra‑time spot kick. This person knows the importance of quality control and has experience working in a remote editing workflow.
What you'll be doing
Edit sponsored and editorial video content
Oversee Footballco’s New York podcast studio, including setting up technical equipment and capturing content on a weekly basis
Manage MAM server including content ingestion, organization, and archiving
Edit soccer‑related content including original video, studio shows, match highlights, press conference quotes, and more for our social channels and website video player
Provide editing briefs/rough cuts for editors in a remote editing workflow
Work with a team of producers and content creators to deliver best‑in‑class video content
Coordinate with producers, client services, and the social media teams on the status of content being edited and when it is ready for publication/posting
What you have
Deep understanding and comfortability using the Adobe Creative Suite with a primary focus on Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop
Ability to work on deadline
Experienced videographer with knowledge of technical podcast equipment
Past experience with remote editing workflows and cloud servers
Proficient in audio mixing and color correcting prior to video output
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite as an editor and working in a remote editing workflow including production pipelines, formatting, and distribution to social platforms
Skilled in editing content for social channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, and Twitch
Strong organisational skills and ability to look ahead in content planning and automated workflows
Hunger to learn and leverage new technology including AI to improve video content and workflows
Comfortable and confident in working with talent from players, celebrities, and fans
Strong interpersonal skills and a good attitude to help build culture on a new team
Effective communicator and team player who will collaborate with creatives, designers, account managers and strategists to create compelling work
Finally, this job is focused on soccer media, so while knowing the game helps, we hope you have a love for soccer culture on and off the pitch
