Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of the plant to expedite production. Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for customer orders, revises schedules according to work order specifications, and evaluates availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment. Follows the plant’s product safety programs (HACCP, SQF, Food Defense) and Lean initiatives. Responsibilities
Manages daily production needs for the equipment over a 24–48-hour period. Creates and maintains daily schedule to balance efficiencies and customer needs. Schedules according to corporate guidelines and inventory goals. Maintains work in process (WIP) inventories to sustain minimum inventory levels. Monitors slow moving material. Requisitions raw paperboard and pallets. Maintains raw material inventories to maximize inventory turns and keep operations running. Ensures scheduling meets shipping commitments to all customers. Advises customer service of any unplanned delays in shipping commitments. Confer s with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to schedule preventative maintenance on equipment. Reviews and communicates production commitments to shipping. Researches, complies, and prepares reports as directed. Ensures plant compliance with 3rd party Functional Control / Pre-Requisite program requirements including HACCP, SQF, and other customer-mandated programs. Conducts annual training in HACCP, GMPs, Food defense, and allergens. Provides support in the plant’s Lean activities. Protects and strengthens Graphic Packaging International’s reputation in relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and government agencies; upholds core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork. Education / Knowledge / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiar with AIB / HACCP / SQF compliance standards Familiar with Food defense compliance standards Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research Visual color discrimination and ability to match or detect color differences Schedule
General schedule is a 9-hour M-F assignment; willing to work alternate schedules including early mornings, nights, and/or weekends. Punctuality required. Occasional overnight travel (flying, driving, or riding). Physical Demands
Sitting or standing for extended periods (up to 9 hours). Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting. Grasping with both hands; simple and power. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Reading on-screen text and using office tools. Compensation
