St. Charles Community College seeks a Part‑time temporary Theater Production Assistant (Front of House) to perform various duties associated with the scheduled operation of the theater and affiliated technical areas on campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate ticketing software, including financial transactions.
• Assist with opening and closing of the box office.
• Balance the cash drawer and make change when necessary.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine the purpose of callers and take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Assist theater patrons with seating concerns and disability accommodations.
• Interact with volunteer ushers to assure excellent customer service.
• Insure adherence to College and theater policies, notifying FT staff when violations occur.
• Aid with set‑up for theater open houses and similar events.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Basic keyboarding skills.
• Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience.
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
