Position Overview (Part Time Bookkeeper)
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Bookkeeper with 2-4 years of full‑cycle accounting experience and strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The ideal candidate will manage day‑to‑day accounting functions, ensure accuracy across financial reports, and support month‑end and year‑end closings. You will assist client based in Corrigan, TX. This will take approximately 6 hours. You will be paid for 10 hours. Details to be discussed during screening/interviews.
Key Responsibilities
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping including Accounts Payable (NP), Accounts Receivable (NR), payroll processing, and reconciliations.
Record journal entries, manage vendor bills, and issue customer invoices.
Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure transactions are properly categorized.
Prepare and review financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Handle QuickBooks clean‑ups, catch‑ups, and audit preparation.
Support CPA or CFO with tax filings, audits, and financial reviews.
Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections.
Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting support as needed.
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus).
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.).
Strong Excel and data‑entry skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
Experience with multiple-entity accounting or construction/service industry bookkeeping.
Familiarity with sales tax, 1099s, and financial audits.
Comfortable working with cloud‑based accounting tools (Hubdoc, Dext, com, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
