Payroll Specialist

Role Overview The
Payroll Specialist
will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a 300+ employee workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across multiple pay frequencies. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in UKG, strong reconciliation skills, and a background in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Process and reconcile weekly payroll for hourly employees and semi-monthly payroll for salaried staff
Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and internal controls
Manage employee data changes, deductions, and benefits integrations
Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy across pay, tax, and deduction fields
Collaborate closely with HR and Accounting teams on journal entries, accruals, and compliance
Address employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
Support year-end reporting, W-2 processing, and payroll tax filings
Qualifications
3–5+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in manufacturing
Working knowledge of UKG (UKG Pro or Dimensions)
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage confidential data
