Sourcebooks 'Bespoke Publishing Operations team is seeking a detail-driven, collaborative
Associate Managing Editor
for a
6-month contract role . This temporary position will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth flow of managing editorial and production editorial processes, ensuring bespoke titles move efficiently from turnover to final production. This is a contract position (6 months) with a pay rate of $30/hour and a maximum of 40 hours per week. What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day editorial and production workflows for bespoke titles. Track and maintain schedules to ensure projects stay on time and on budget. Support documentation, training, and process improvements within the team. Collaborate across editorial, design, and production to anticipate bottlenecks and resolve issues. Help coordinate reprints, special editions, and other bespoke projects. What You’ll Bring
5+ years in managing editorial, production editorial, or publishing project coordination. Strong command of The Chicago Manual of Style and standard book production practices. Experience managing schedules, freelancers, and quality control across multiple titles. Comfort working in tools like Smartsheet and Basecamp, plus proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills. How to Apply
