Overview Reports to: Senior Program Manager, Education Location: Remote (Preference given to GA, NC, OK, TX, VA, WA)

At the MRC, we’re committed to building smart, engaging, and practical learning experiences for payments and fraud professionals around the world. As our Instructional Designer, you’ll play a central role in bringing that vision to life. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and industry experts to develop content that supports our members’ growth, aligns with our certification programs, and meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and relevance.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who loves to build, test, and refine learning content in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. You’ll work closely with our Senior Program Manager, Education and other stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Content Development: Develop comprehensive content aligned with the organization's learning objectives and target audience needs.

Instructional Design: Lead the instructional design process to create effective and engaging learning experiences. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning goals and develop clear learning objectives.

Instructional Design Methodologies: Utilize instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Content Creation and Review: Create high-quality learning materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established learning standards.

Learning Management System: Assist with LMS management, including uploading and testing courses, assigning content, and verifying learner access and completion data.

Multimedia Integration: Explore and integrate multimedia elements, such as graphics, animations, and simulations, to enrich learning content and increase engagement.

Quality Assurance: Review existing content for consistency, quality, and alignment with brand and compliance standards.

Learning Analytics: Use data analytics and insights to assess the effectiveness of learning content and make data-driven decisions to improve learning outcomes.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all learning content complies with relevant regulations, accessibility standards, and copyright laws.

Cross Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Events, Membership, and Finance teams to support launches and ongoing promotion.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience designing and developing eLearning using Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise.

Experience assisting with or managing content in an LMS (LearnUpon LMS experience a plus).

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-moving environment.

Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.

Experience with association or certification-based training programs.

A background in payments, ecommerce, or fraud prevention is a plus, but not required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Travel: Occasional travel to MRC conferences and team meetings.
