Supply Chain Specialist / Production Scheduler

Join our dynamic team as a Production Scheduler and play a key role in driving operational efficiency! You'll need to be a detail-driven and collaborative professional to develop, coordinate, and maintain efficient production schedules to ensure timely delivery of finished goods while optimizing plant capacity, labor, and material availability. This role serves as the key link between manufacturing, procurement, customer service, and logistics to balance customer demand with operational capabilities. What You'll Be Doing:
Production Planning & Scheduling Develop, update, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to ensure schedules are feasible and aligned with business priorities. Monitor production progress daily, identify variances, and adjust schedules to address delays, material shortages, equipment downtime, or quality issues. Optimize production sequencing to reduce changeovers, improve throughput, maximize efficiency, and meet customer service levels. Review capacity utilization regularly and recommend short-term and long-term adjustments as needed. Maintain accurate scheduling data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, D365, Oracle, JDE, etc.) and ensure master data integrity. Communicate schedule changes promptly to all relevant departments to minimize disruptions and manage expectations. Continuous Improvement
Leverage ERP and inventory tools to streamline scheduling Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve planning accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. What It Takes:
Education:
Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Experience:
2+ years in production planning, procurement, or supply chain roles preferred. Systems Knowledge:
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with MRP tools a plus. Analytical Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Communication : Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers. Adaptability:
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Continuous Improvement:
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus. Other Things We Think You Should Know:
