Staffmark Drivers is seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Picayune, MS. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great hometown company, offering steady hours, competitive pay, and the benefit of being home daily!
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM | No overnight routes
Job Details
Route: Local deliveries and pickups for a building supply yard
Freight: Touch freight - handling and delivering building materials
Unload: Assist with loading, unloading, and handling customer purchases or returns
Vehicle Type: CDL Class A commercial truck
Lifting: Must be able to lift heavy materials as needed
Work Environment: Outdoor setting, all weather conditions
Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle for local routes
Load and unload building materials with care and accuracy
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups
Follow delivery schedules, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
Conduct required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance issues
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A License and current DOT Medical Card
At least 1 year of recent verifiable driving experience (within the last 3 years)
Clean MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse report
No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years
Experience in building materials, construction, or delivery preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors
