Summary The Reality Labs Partnerships team is seeking a Partnerships Manager for creating, growing and maintaining strategic partnerships at Reality Labs. Your job is to work with leading researchers and technologists to figure out the technology landscape, market analysis, partnership strategy and to define what robotics, haptics, actuators, gloves, spatial audio, audio wearables, mixed, virtual and augmented reality would look like 5+ years in the future. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team pushing on the visual aspect of the immersive computing experience: robotics, computer vision, AI/ML, spatial audio, and related wearable and embodied AI technologies. Our mission is to keep advancing Meta’s roadmap in robotics, virtual and augmented reality; the work you do here will lay the foundation for Meta embodied AI, audio and wearables experiences for years to come.

Required Skills Reality Labs Partnerships Manager Responsibilities:

Execute on creating, growing and maintaining strategic partnerships to accelerate research, development, adoption and commercialization of technology for the next generation embodied AI, AR/MR and wearable products

Identify, define, negotiate, and close complex IP, joint-development and licensing deals with startups, research institutes, public companies, and other ecosystem players

Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, and research teams to negotiate deal and license terms, drive special projects, and advocate internally for technologies and partners

Drive joint steering committee meetings, key program work streams, and quarterly business reviews in coordination with research partners

Develop and influence technology roadmap, applications, ecosystem, and company landscape in various technology areas

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience negotiating joint research and development agreements

Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals

Experience with structuring and negotiating the business, technology and legal aspects of partnership agreements for technology licensing and joint development

8+ years of business development experience with a track record of working with partners working on new to the world technologies and bringing them to market

Experience interpreting legal documents, negotiating contracts and working with attorneys to complete agreements

Experience in driving teams across partnerships to track and deliver on key program objectives

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building partnerships for new hardware products including managing complex processes and end-to-end negotiations

Proven analytical, communication and presentation skills with technical, contractual and financial issues

Experience in establishing relationships and presence within the consumer electronics sector with proven experience reaching and exceeding goals

Technical knowledge and growth mindset

Experience and knowledge of the haptics, audio, materials, robotics, transducers and actuator industry

Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized

Degree in Computer Science, Materials, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience in technical program management

Experience operating with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment and working effectively cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internal and external

Public Compensation $159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
