Pursuant Health
The Role
As a hands-on and strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, the CFO will be both a financial architect and operator, guiding Pursuant Health through an inflection point of scale and innovation. The CFO will lead across three core areas: 1) Growth Financing: Drive Pursuant Health’s expansion by developing and executing financing strategies—whether through customer-funded contracts, strategic investors, or capital markets; 2) Financial Planning & Analysis: Maintain dynamic forecasts and monitor cash flow to inform capital allocation and operational decision making; 3) Administrative Oversight: Ensure disciplined accounting, compliance, and governance while managing audit, tax, and external advisory relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Investor Engagement: Partner with the CEO and Board to shape long-term financial strategy and growth initiatives, including new product launches, payer partnerships, and advertising innovation.
Lead fundraising efforts by developing financing strategies informed by peer company approaches, creating investor materials, and managing ongoing stakeholder communications.
Drive board reporting and investor relations; build and maintain a pipeline of strategic and institutional investors, strengthening relationships and keeping them engaged with Pursuant Health’s vision.
Financial Planning & Operations: Lead FP&A, forecasting, cash management, and capital allocation to ensure operational stability.
Oversee accounting, audit, and tax compliance (working closely with Big Four and external advisors).
Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and financial transparency.
Risk, Compliance & Governance: Oversee contracting processes with payers, advertisers, and vendors; partner with legal and compliance teams to manage risk and enforce governance policies; drive efficiency in corporate processes, policies, and reporting.
Team & Culture: Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset—resourceful, adaptable, and willing to roll up sleeves; build and lead a high-performing finance team; foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and results.
Qualifications
MBA preferred; strong foundation in finance and strategy with the ability to bridge capital markets and operational execution.
7+ years of senior finance leadership, ideally in healthcare technology or a related growth sector.
