Overview

SharePoint Systems Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton (Jobs via Dice). The opportunity involves supporting the design, deployment, administration, and support of both on-premises SharePoint Server environments and SharePoint Online. This role ensures reliable and secure collaboration services, integrates SharePoint with enterprise systems, and drives modernization initiatives to migrate workloads to Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of systems and network engineers supporting the U.S. Navy's digital transformation efforts, modernizing and optimizing legacy server platforms through migration to the cloud.

What You'll Work On

Design, maintain, and optimize on-premises SharePoint Server farms and SharePoint Online environments. Manage SharePoint site collections, service applications, search, user profiles, workflows, and permissions. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, performing regular patching, upgrades, and backups. Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, including connectivity, authentication, and integration problems. Design and implement new SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows according to business requirements. Plan and execute SharePoint migrations using tools like ShareGate, Metalogix, or PowerShell scripts. Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, Power BI, and Viva. Work closely with business units to gather requirements and translate them into functional SharePoint solutions. Provide end-user support, documentation, and training for SharePoint features and governance policies. Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for SharePoint and related Microsoft 365 technologies.

You Have

5+ years of experience managing and supporting SharePoint environments, including both on-premises and SharePoint Online. Experience with SharePoint farm architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience developing comprehensive IT infrastructure automation using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, or automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform. Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed teams. Ability to automate the installation and operation of Windows Server-based applications and solutions. Secret clearance. HS diploma or GED. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification, within 30 days of hire date.

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
