Job Summary Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside a 50‑mile radius.
Director of Dining Services The Director is an energetic, entrepreneurial leader responsible for the overall operation of Dining Services. The role ensures client and customer satisfaction, cost‑effective management, and excellence in all foodservice activities, including retail, cafeteria, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
Manage salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department.
Oversee overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the dining services account.
Interview, hire, train, and supervise associates; assign and direct work, evaluate performance, and resolve complaints.
Prepare and manage the annual budget.
Use company systems to complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports (inventory, cash, production, payroll, time‑keeping).
Participate in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards, HACCP and OSHA guidelines, and portion control.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or A.A. with four years of related experience.
5–7 years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge.
Strong knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation.
Experience with P&L accountability or contract‑managed services is desirable.
Excellent supervisory, leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities with all organizational levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer applications.
ServSafe® certification.
Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
