Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Electrical Estimator to lead strategic estimating efforts, mentor team members, and drive project wins with precision and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mentorship & Leadership
Guide and mentor junior estimators to elevate team performance.
Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Estimating & Strategy
Perform and review detailed take-offs to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Analyze drawings and specifications to develop project‑specific estimating strategies.
Deliver comprehensive budgets with limited design documentation.
Customer Engagement
Attend pre‑bid walkthroughs to assess site conditions and build client rapport.
Establish and maintain relationships with key customer decision‑makers.
Participate in presentations and interviews with clients, owners, and design teams.
Innovation & Collaboration
Collaborate with the Chief Estimator to integrate new technologies and tools.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance estimating delivery and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
10+ years of experience in electrical estimating or commercial electrical construction.
Proven success managing estimates for complex, multi‑system projects.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and ability to interpret technical documentation.
Strategic mindset with attention to detail and deadline‑driven execution.
Software Skills
Knowledge of Conest Estimating Software preferred.
Experience with Bluebeam, Egnyte, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), and Cosential CRM software.
Language Skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English with customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors, and other contractor organizations.
Physical Demands The position requires the ability to talk and hear; move within the office to retrieve files and meet with employees; work at a computer for extended periods. Field visits may be required.
Work Environment Work primarily in office environments; travel to field locations as needed. Prolonged periods of seated computer work and occasional standing in office or site settings.
Compensation Compensation Range: $111,000 - $145,000 per year. Annual bonus eligible.
