As an armed patrol officer in a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.

Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas.

Assist visitors and/or employees by providing directions, answering questions, and offering general assistance as needed.

Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly, as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary and in accordance with site protocols.

Minimum Requirements

Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.

A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.

An armed guard card or license is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Baton certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
