Provide direct patient care as a Nocturnist and supervise Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) for both admissions and cross-coverage. Overnight Internal Medicine admissions are handled by residents, with 4-6 staffed by a Nocturnist. Lead Rapid Responses with residents as part of the team. Participate in a Nocturnist-specific schedule: 7 on, 7 off block schedule. Collaborate with the division, a collegial group that values and recognizes provider contributions. Candidate Qualifications
Education: Residency Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with strong academic credentials. Qualities: Committed to providing exceptional patient care, hard-working, dependable, collegial, and professional. Retention Incentive
After 1 year: 1 shift reduction per month for 1.0 FTE (or equivalent). After 3 years: Additional shift reduction for 1.0 FTE (or equivalent). Clinical Programs & Initiatives
Collaborative Unit-Based Care with approximately 85% geographic cohorting and daily multidisciplinary and transition care rounds across all sites. Co-Management Services: Orthopedic Surgery at LHMC; Hematology at LHMC. Inpatient Teaching: Rounds with Internal Medicine residents and UMass Chan medical students; junior hospitalist rotation for new PGY2 internal medicine residents each July and August; medicine rotation for international medical students at LHMC (approximately 25 students annually). Pay Range: $165,000.00 USD - $180,000.00 USD. The pay range listed is the base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on factors such as education, training, experience, specialty, geography, productivity, and job responsibilities. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including productivity and quality bonuses.
