We are looking for a highly experienced

Lead SPM Developer

to architect, design, and implement ServiceNow modules with a strong focus on CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and CSDM. The ideal candidate will lead technical delivery, ensure platform optimization, and drive integration across enterprise systems to support strategic service management initiatives.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with the law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $125K to $135K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, configure, and implement ServiceNow modules including:

CMDB ,

SPM ,

SAM ,

APM/EA ,

Discovery , and

Service Mapping

Customize and enhance platform capabilities using best practices:

Scripting, automation, and APIs

Build and manage integrations with external systems:

Implement and maintain CMDB health:

Normalization, reconciliation, and data certification

Map and enforce

CSDM standards

across all modules and business services

Support creation and execution of test cases for:

UAT, SIT, and production validation

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and client SMEs to:

Capture requirements and propose scalable solutions

Develop and maintain:

Technical documentation, runbooks, and support materials

Provide technical guidance to junior developers and ensure alignment with architectural standards

Deployment planning, cutover support, and post-go-live stabilization

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and architecture

Deep expertise in:

CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CSDM, SPM, SAM, APM/EA

Strong proficiency in:

Experience with:

Integration Hub, MID Server, and external system integrations

Solid understanding of ITIL, Agile, and enterprise architecture principles

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred, but not required:

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM, CMDB, or Discovery

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

ITIL Foundation or higher
