BHI is seeking a senior estimator to support the full range of preconstruction and estimating activities in a professional, ethical environment. The role involves managing projects from initial client contact through conceptual budgets, design progress budget iterations, price control, final estimate, job setup, and turnover to the operations team. The senior estimator will assist with project buyout and lay the groundwork for operations to execute according to the estimate. Office locations: North Salt Lake, UT (Primary), Ogden, UT, Vernal, UT and Saint George, UT. Salary:
$120,000+

Qualifications For a Senior Estimator We are seeking a candidate with: Extensive estimating experience: 6+ years in commercial general contracting, covering the full lifecycle from bid invitations and takeoffs to conceptual estimates and project turnover. Leadership & mentorship: Strong leadership qualities with a proven ability to develop and mentor junior estimators. Relationship building & presentation: Ability to build relationships with subcontractors, owners, and architects, and to present estimates and costs to key stakeholders. Technical proficiency: Proficient in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., ProEst, Building Connected, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Detail-oriented & proactive: Excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, and problem-solving abilities. About B.H. Inc. Brad Haslem started BHI with six others in 1998.
