Community Events Supervisor - Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

Overview MPRB's Visitor Services Department is seeking a well-rounded and outgoing Community Events Supervisor to provide daily management and oversight of the city-wide events function for the Park Board. Coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, and monitors activities to ensure delivery of events that are consistent with the organization’s comprehensive plan and the mission and goals of the MPRB. Provides leadership to staff in the community events work unit within Visitor Services that meet the park and recreation needs of diverse communities and ensure race equity, gender inclusion, and universal access.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Event Management, Parks and Recreation, Recreation Programming, or related field.

4 years of experience in lifecycle coordination of special events.

3 years of experience supervising others.

2 years of experience supervising unionized employees.

Valid driver’s license.
