Overview
Performance Marketing Expert (LA based tech-startup, equity role) This is a partially-remote, part-time LA-based opportunity with equity only at this stage. The startup is in stealth mode, preparing for a nationwide launch, and has an active Beta product with ROI-positive digital advertising on a modest budget. The role focuses on B2C performance marketing and driving revenue in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities
Individually lead performance marketing efforts across channels including Meta, Google Ads/Shopping, AIO, Pinterest, and retargeting. Execute email marketing campaigns for all stages of the consumer funnel. Test and iterate platforms, audiences, and creative to maximize results. Collaborate cross-departmentally with Creative, Social, Business Development, and Growth teams to target the right audiences with the right creative. Craft creative ideas based on brand guidelines and value props, using data from live A/B tests with the Design team. Leverage analytics to measure campaign effectiveness, optimize strategies, and report on KPIs; ensure marketing strategy reflects customer behavior and market trends. Create scalable revenue results on a limited budget. Requirements
Experience: 7+ years in marketing with strong B2C experience (B2B a plus); preference for consumer brands and two-sided marketplaces. Strategic: Ability to build and execute a comprehensive marketing vision aligned with company objectives. Omni-Channel Knowledge: Digital marketing channels, social media, content creation, and performance marketing. Analytical Skills: Data-driven decision making and optimization. Leadership: Experience leading and developing a team, with strong communication and project management. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities. Technical: Proficiency with Meta Business, Google Ads/Search, Pinterest Business, GA4; familiarity with performance/KPI software (e.g., PostHog, Microsoft Clarity) and AI performance marketing solutions. Tools: Slack, Asana, Google Drive. Proven ability to deliver scalable, measurable revenue results. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-growth, consumer-facing brands. Expertise in marketing for a two-sided marketplace. Omni-channel strategy including digital, social, PR, and offline marketing.
