Job Description: Salesforce CPQ Consultant Location:
Dallas, TX or Irvine, CA

Contract 6 months
About The Role We are seeking a skilled
Salesforce (Steelbrick) CPQ Consultant
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce CPQ configuration and implementation, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient solutions. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to design, implement, and optimize Salesforce CPQ processes that support sales operations and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business processes related to quoting, pricing, product configuration, and approvals
Configure and customize Salesforce CPQ features including product catalogs, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, and approval processes
Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement CPQ integrations with other Salesforce Clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and external systems (ERP, billing, etc.)
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and user training
Provide subject matter expertise in Salesforce CPQ best practices to clients and project teams
Support testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support activities
Troubleshoot and resolve CPQ‑related issues in a timely manner
Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge sharing within the team
Qualifications
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce CPQ implementation and configuration
Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and related objects (Accounts, Opportunities, Quotes, Products, Price Books)
Experience with CPQ features such as product bundles, pricing methods, discounting rules, quote‑to‑cash processes, and approvals
Ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and clearly communicate recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist (or willingness to achieve certification within 3 months of hire)
Preferred: Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
Experience with DocuSign CLM, Conga, or other quote‑to‑cash tools
Familiarity with NetSuite, ERP or billing system integrations
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
