Senior Platform Engineer
Solidus is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to perform network support and system troubleshooting to maintain current systems and administer enterprise network systems (Layer 2 and Layer 3) in support of satellite data management. This onsite role is based in Aurora, CO. The position requires a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance; candidates without this clearance are ineligible.
Day In The Life
Leverage best practices to design, deploy, implement, modernize and support scalable network solutions.
Support network design and development activities, optimizing performance and scalability across computing environments.
Use Linux command line skills to deploy updates and change products for Cisco-based network systems.
Provide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization.
Troubleshoot network issues, mitigating and preventing network problems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
US Citizen with an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation.
5 years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience with Linux System Administration (e.g., RHEL 6.0+).
Experience with VMware and related virtualized systems.
CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of starting.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Advanced experience configuring, deploying, and supporting network systems (e.g., Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, Brocade).
Experience troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3.
Experience with firewall implementation.
Scripting in Python (preferred), Bash, or Shell.
Experience integrating with identity management, access management, and authorization solutions (PKI, LDAP).
Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
Experience with scanning tools.Basic experience using automation frameworks.
Benefits Full benefits salary range: $117,000 to $152,000 annually. Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): up to $165,000 annually.
