Base pay range
$62.00/hr - $73.00/hr About the Role Were looking for an In?House Editorial Manager to manage the day?to?day operations of our growing In?House Editorial team. This role blends creative production management with post?production oversight owning workflows, schedules, and delivery pipelines while fostering collaboration across our creative, editorial, finishing, and operations teams. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive problem solver who balances creative sensibility with operational discipline. They thrive in a fast?paced environment, can translate creative vision into actionable plans, and ensure projects move seamlessly from idea to final delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a diverse team including a Coordinator, Editorial Staff, and Assistant Editors. Provide clear direction, prioritize workloads, and nurture growth and development across the team. Foster a collaborative, solutions?oriented culture that encourages efficiency, creativity, and accountability.
Editorial & Post Management
Oversee editorial operations from kickoff through final delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and milestones are met. Ensure editors and assistant editors are supported with clear priorities, efficient workflows, and organized project setup. Guide the team in managing reviews and feedback cycles to ensure communication and execution remain timely and aligned across creative, and operational stakeholders.
Production & Operations
Partner with creative, finishing, and operations teams to plan and forecast needs, ensuring smooth delivery of assets. Oversee operational workflows for project setup and asset management, ensuring they are structured for scalability and maintained by the coordinator. Liaise with finishing teams on upcoming work and coordinate archiving of final deliverables. Oversee editorial billable hours to ensure budgetary needs are met and reported accordingly. Raise major campaign issues/questions to senior staff with clear recommendations and context.
Cross?Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary bridge between editorial, creative, finishing, and operations teams, aligning priorities and resolving issues. Liaise with external agencies and vendors to ensure smooth handoffs, technical alignment, and adherence to specs. Escalate issues or blockers with clear context, solutions, and recommendations for stakeholders.
Workflow & Process Development
Establish protocols and best practices for editorial workflows and operational processes that drive clarity, consistency and scalability across teams. Partner with the In?House Editorial Coordinator to ensure procedures, documentation, and delivery standards remain accurate and aligned. Lead process improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to streamline collaboration, implement tools and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications
7-10+ years of experience in post?production, creative production, or hybrid editorial roles within a studio, network, streaming service, agency, or trailer house. Experience managing and mentoring production and editorial teams. Deep understanding of editorial and post workflows, including file management, finishing, and delivery standards. Proven experience managing multiple projects and leading teams in a deadline?driven environment. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to connect dots across creative and operational functions. Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, problem?solve quickly, and align cross?functional teams. Proficiency with software including Box, Frame.io, and AirTable. Strong working knowledge of industry?standard editing platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite.
