Responsibilities
Manage an assigned territory to ensure profitable growth of the Excess & Surplus line of business, including production, underwriting, sales and service.
Underwrite and service the most complex accounts and largest agency relationships in the Florida region.
Mentor teammates, deliver training programs and assist in the development of underwriting guidelines and products.
Support the start-up Surplus Lines casualty business and help establish guidelines, processes, and performance metrics.
Travel throughout the territory as required; the position can be based at FCCI's Corporate Headquarters in Sarasota, FL or remote within Florida.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant progressive experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum eight years of commercial underwriting experience with a focus on casualty surplus lines.
Comprehensive understanding of key exposures and portfolio pricing techniques.
Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and sound judgment.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional designation in underwriting or a related field.

Salary Range:
$114,639 – $176,545 annually. This range is an estimate and may vary based on education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
