Estimator
to support preconstruction and estimating efforts across diverse commercial projects. This role involves preparing detailed and conceptual estimates, analyzing bid documents, maintaining subcontractor relationships, and contributing to cost strategies that drive successful project delivery. The
Construction Estimator
will work closely with the Preconstruction and Estimating team to compile accurate and competitive bids. This position plays a key role in developing pricing strategies, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and ensuring that estimates reflect project requirements and market conditions. Key Responsibilities
Review proposal documents, plans, and specifications to determine scope and estimate requirements Participate in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy sessions to assess project feasibility Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing for all divisions Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates under general supervision Maintain current data on labor, material, and equipment costs Develop conceptual estimates and cost breakdowns for projects of moderate complexity Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify design intent and cost implications Prepare qualification and exclusion exhibits tailored to each project Ensure consistent use of estimating systems, templates, and software tools Assist in training junior estimating staff and contribute to process improvements Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an
Estimator
or
Preconstruction professional
