As an Aerial Construction Supervisor, your leadership will direct both in-house teams and contract labor on new builds, maintenance, rebuilds, and storm restorations. You will hire, train and develop talented teams, ensuring top-tier productivity, safety, quality and making a significant impact on our success. Responsibilities
Direct in-house teams and contract labor on projects including new builds, maintenance, rebuilds, and storm restorations. Hire, train and develop teams to ensure productivity, safety and quality. Provide regular updates on construction progress and support team development and project excellence. Reconcile invoices with field work and communicate updates to relevant parties. Collaborate with engineers and developers to design the plant, sketch equipment installations, complete BOMs, and ensure readiness before construction. Working Conditions
Aerial Construction Supervisors work outdoors in all kinds of weather and at various heights, including adverse conditions, day or night and often near power lines and electricity. You are exposed to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, cleaning solutions and may work indoors in poorly ventilated areas. Standing is required 50-70% of the time. Travel, including overnight stays, is a regular part of the job. Required Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or equivalent Associates degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
Experience
3+ years of OSP construction work experience in Telecom field Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within company-required standards
Skills & Abilities
Fluent in English. Close, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Differentiate wire sizes and colors. Lift 75 pounds, carry and operate a 28-foot, 75-pound ladder, and climb poles using gaffs, hooks, and a climbing belt (350-pound weight limit). Work in tight spaces, crawling, bending, reaching, and twisting. Travel to assigned territories and company facilities, even in bad weather. Work outside for long periods in all seasons and weather. Operate appropriate computer or test equipment (e.g. signal level meters, ohm meters, etc.) Knowledge of National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code and OSHA. Knowledge of HFC/FTTH construction and Architecture. Basic math and electronics. Ability to operate machinery used for underground/overhead cable installation. Ability to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints.
