Overview Under the supervision of the Director of Faculty Life Cycle, the WSE Faculty Affairs Coordinator will support faculty appointments for all full‑time and part‑time teaching and research faculty in WSE, maintain faculty data, and coordinate administrative projects that facilitate the partnership between the Office of Faculty Affairs and the school’s nine academic departments.

Responsibilities

Plan, support, and organize daily activities of the office, including calendar management for senior faculty and staff.

Provide complex administrative, project, and calendar support to a Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, or program leadership.

Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics.

Support the administration of the department/unit's budget: monitoring and tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budget development.

Independently develop and manage key administrative projects (databases, reports, grant proposals, office workflow, records control).

Produce and coordinate meeting materials, minutes, and follow‑up action items.

Coordinate general office services such as payroll, purchasing, records control, and office moves.

Coordinate preparation and logistics for special events, workshops, and conferences.

Assist with preparation of presentations and reports.

Serve as a liaison with facilities or other service providers as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or graduation equivalent.

Four years of related experience.

Additional education may substitute for required experience as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong experience managing and reporting on data.

Experience in a higher education environment.

Professional, service‑oriented individual who is meticulous, detail oriented, and takes ownership of work.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary range: $21.25 – $36.90 hourly (total rewards package available; see online benefits guide).

Temporary assignment; 37.5 hours per week; FLSA status: Non‑Exempt.

Hybrid placement: Homewood Campus (remote hours permitted).
