Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management (GSAM) is one of the world’s leading asset managers with over $2 trillion in assets under supervision. GSAM provides investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, and individual investors across traditional and alternative assets. The Private Credit platform focuses on direct lending and asset‑backed strategies, including the growing Asset Finance business that offers flexible financing solutions backed by physical and/or financial collateral.

As an Analyst in Asset Finance, you will develop and grow our global platform through transaction origination, underwriting, structuring, risk management, and execution. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations—to deliver high‑quality investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.

Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments.

Project‑manage transaction operations, coordinating with multiple departments.

Communicate and defend investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including GSAM Investment Committees.

Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio.

Contribute to ensuring reporting excellence for clients.

Support platform expansion and potentially introduce new investment strategies.

Skills and Experience

1+ years of work experience in fixed income at a bank, asset manager, rating agency, or other relevant financial institution.

Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Passion for investing with specific interest in credit or other structured products.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow‑through.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses.

Ability to self‑direct, analyze, and evaluate to form independent judgments.

Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build trust and confidence with colleagues and strengthen relationships through ongoing dialogue and interaction.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
