Relay Protection & Control Engineering Supervisor
to lead high-impact transmission and distribution projects. This role involves mentoring engineering staff, developing protection and control schemes, performing power system studies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. It is a hybrid remote role with travel as needed to the Greater Atlanta, Georgia area.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and train engineers in relay protection and control design
Design P&C schemes for substations and specify protection equipment
Prepare scopes, estimates, and technical documentation
Conduct short circuit and relay coordination studies using ASPEN, ETAP, and AcSELerator
Support construction, commissioning, and NERC/FERC compliance efforts
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10+ years of protection and control design experience in the utility industry
Proficiency with SEL relays, SCADA systems, and industry testing tools
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
