Shift Requirements

Applicants must be willing to work any shift including evenings and weekends and any 5 of 7 days. 5% additional pay for evening shift work; 7??% additional pay for night shift work. Examinations

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. Should an oral exam be necessary, the oral exam will be weighted 100%. Examinations include investigation, written exam and rating of application. Oral exam is optional but weighted 100% if required. Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible clerical, general computer and office experience directly related to the area of assignment, including two years as a Sheriff's Support Technician, Sheriff's Support Specialist or equivalent, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Certification of Typing/Keyboarding speed of 50 net words per minute. Applicants

MUST

submit a copy of their typing or keyboard certificate, issued within the last two years, verifying a speed of 50 net words per minute. Additional Requirements Possession of a Valid California Driver's License Transcription speed of 50 net words per minute POST Supervisory Certification Public Records Act Certification POST Basic Records Certification

Character

This examination will establish an eligible list from which immediate appointment(s) will be made. Other permanent and temporary appointments will be made as needed. Successful candidates will remain on the eligible list for a period of twelve months, unless specified otherwise by the Civil Service Commission. Location and Travel
