Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Inpatient Pediatric Neurosurgery Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 10-12 hour day shifts rotating with team, Monday through Friday. Future weekend rotation required. to: Provide care to pediatric clinical and research neurosurgery patients at the American Family Children’s Hospital. Work in collaboration with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide ongoing patient care and management. Perform inpatient rounding and discharge planning for pediatric neurosurgery patients. Occasional assistance with outpatient telephone follow up, patient support and prior authorization duties may be required. This advisory council promotes, supports, advocates and advises on APP practice and provides expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization. These leaders advocate for APPs among UW Health administrators. Education: Minimum – If Nurse Practitioner:

Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program. If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Pediatric Acute Care) If Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice Active PA board certification All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice (this may include licensing in Wisconsin and other states) Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
