SSA Group at Foothills Golf Club is looking for a talented Manager of Event Sales to join our team! All applications should be submitted within 7 days of posting; applications will be prioritized based on time submitted and may not be reviewed beyond this time.

Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Job Summary The Manager, Event Sales is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by promoting and selling the venue, catering services, and other add‑on experiences. This role requires advanced sales strategies, strong client relationships, and ensuring successful execution of events. The position requires a dynamic individual with communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Computer knowledge and skill level for basic office functions.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes (35 lbs) as required.

Ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Previous Experience

Minimum 4 years of catering and/or event sales, operations, or event planning management in off‑site catering, hotel, or cultural attraction venue.

Minimum 6 years of experience is preferred.

Working knowledge of Tripleseat is a plus.

All education backgrounds eligible; must be 18 or older.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Acquisition

Develop and implement strategies to sell the venue and catering services to new and returning clients.

Analyze market to identify new revenue opportunities.

Prospect and secure new business through cold calling, networking, and client outreach.

Conduct site tours and menu tastings to showcase event capabilities.

Negotiate and secure signed agreements through a defined sales process.

Plan and upsell functions with clients, including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, and decorations.

Respond promptly to client requests and ensure client satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as primary point of contact throughout the sales and planning process.

Communicate transparently with clients during sales and details.

Prepare and manage contracts, BEOs, diagrams, and other documents.

Maintain strong relationships with venue departments.

Encourage repeat business through follow‑ups.

Vendor and Resource Management

Maintain communication with vendors and negotiate pricing.

Maintain a list of resources for client and internal use.

Ensure vendor compliance with venue guidelines.

Event Coordination

Develop detailed event plans with timelines and floor plans.

Pre‑event walkthroughs to ensure readiness.

Manage last‑minute changes with a solution‑focused approach.

Collaborate with catering, culinary, and operations teams.

Operational Excellence

Accurately document client contracts, BEOs, and event details.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Uphold company policies and procedures.

Financial Management

Collect and process payments in accordance with policies.

Meet and exceed sales budgets and plans.

Analyze sales and inventory to maximize opportunities.

Review invoices and accounting documents for accuracy.

Understand cost structure for profitability.

Reporting and Analysis

Report weekly and monthly sales via Tripleseat.

Analyze sales trends and client feedback.

Adjust strategies to increase conversion rates.

Social Responsibility

Promote inclusivity and sustainability efforts.

Engage in community efforts and give‑back opportunities.

Perform other tasks as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Full‑time, exempt.

Final compensation determined by experience, education, and internal equity.
