Family Nurse Practitioner
at Baptist Urgent Care in Batesville, MS. The position is with Urgent Team, a large independent operator of urgent and family care centers.
Job Summary As a Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Urgent Care, you will provide acute and chronic medical care to patients of all ages in a walk‑in center that operates seven days a week. Full‑time providers work a rotating 36‑40 hour per week schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN opportunities are also available.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Deliver friendly, convenient patient care for a wide range of health‑related services.
Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a calming presence for patients.
Medi‑on administrative, diagnostic, and procedural needs, including medical assessment, treatment, management, and follow‑up of clinic patients.
Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap smears, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
Establish and monitor a medically appropriate level of care for clinic patients.
Oversee on‑site laboratory, X‑ray, injection, and collection services where applicable.
Maintain clinical core competency and comply with medical policy and professional standards.
Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and development of policies affecting medical practice.
Offer guidance to other medical staff to ensure quality service and patient satisfaction.
Represent the company at internal and external meetings or events as required.
Requirements
Experience as a Provider preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
Certification as an APRN through the AANP or ANCC.
DEA license or willingness to obtain upon hire.
DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
BLS certification.
