Overview
The Mount Sinai Health System’s Deane Center for Wellness and Cognitive Health is seeking a Neuropsychologist with a focus on Neurodegenerative Disease. The candidate will be proficient in conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to assess cognitive function and aid in differential diagnosis. The role involves outpatient neuropsychological assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration with behavioral neurologists, neurology fellows, nurse practitioners, social workers, and other specialists. The Deane Center is designed to identify and address the diverse medical, social service, and educational needs of adults at risk for brain disorders, patients with cognitive or behavioral symptoms, and family caregivers who need support. The center emphasizes cross-departmental collaboration among neurology, geriatrics, and psychiatry to provide coordinated clinical care through a single portal of entry for patients and caregivers affected by cognitive or behavioral disorders. Responsibilities
The neuropsychologist will actively participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, presenting assessment findings and contributing to patient care planning. There will also be opportunities to engage in research into cognitive and neurological functioning, disease mechanisms, and clinical interventions. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is encouraged, with access to resources and support for developing independent research initiatives. Qualifications
Eligible for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor Ph.D. or Psy.D. required from an APA or CPA-accredited program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field Current state licensure as required, or license-eligible Expertise in working with adults Post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology is required, with specific experience in memory and dementia disorders Board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABN), or training consistent with the ability to become board certified Salary
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The compensation range for this position is $110K to $150K, based on experience and qualifications (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits). Salary Disclosure Information:
