This role includes performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The CT Technologist uses ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgement to perform high quality scans.
Base pay range $35.00/hr – $54.00/hr
Essential Functions
Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job.
Operate CT equipment and related information systems to produce quality images.
Ensure patient identification, order verification, and prepare the patient for the exam.
Perform exams per department protocol.
Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Complete studies within acceptable time limits per department expectations.
Provide appropriate patient education, ensure patient comfort, and address concerns.
Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information to other providers after the procedure.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols through continuing education.
Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) upon hire, required.
Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiology Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), preferred.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, required.
Licensure in state of practice, upon hire, required.
IV Competency within 90 days, required.
For caregivers hired in Colorado, Fluoroscopy certification, preferred.
1–2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting, preferred.

Work Details Location: Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Shift: Variable. Hours: PRN. Additional shift differentials for weekends, evenings, and nights.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 (PRN).
Physical Requirements Physical demands and safety protocols are in line with standard CT technologist duties.
