Responsibilities Summary:
Paster Properties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction & Facilities Manager to oversee construction, renovation, and facility operations across its portfolio of retail commercial properties. This individual will lead capital improvement and tenant projects from planning through completion, ensuring safety, compliance, and excellence in execution. The ideal candidate combines hands-on project management experience with strategic thinking to enhance operational efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and long-term asset value.
Plan, budget, and manage all construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across multiple retail sites.
Oversee tenant improvement work and coordinate closely with property management to minimize disruption and ensure satisfaction.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Lead bidding, contractor selection, and contract management to ensure competitive pricing and performance.
Conduct regular property inspections, ensuring safety, code compliance, and operational excellence.
Partner with property management on maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs.
Build and manage relationships with vendors, tenants, and key stakeholders to deliver consistent results.
Develop annual construction and facility budgets; track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure project documentation, closeouts, and warranties are accurate and complete.
Contribute strategic insights on asset preservation, lifecycle planning, and capital strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience managing construction or facilities operations, preferably in retail or multi-tenant environments.
Proven success in project budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
Solid understanding of building systems, construction methods, and maintenance best practices.
Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
