Overview
Building teams that push boundaries in space | Senior Client Partner Staff Hardware Design Engineer Company Background They develop cutting-edge software-defined radio (SDR) products and processing solutions to enable spectrum dominance for maritime, land, air, and space domains. Introduction The team solves difficult, impactful problems, ensuring a safer, more secure global environment. The ideal candidate would have a passion for developing board-level analog / RF, and digital hardware designs. You will be tasked with the design, analysis and hands-on integration and testing of complex RF circuitry and subsystems, plus providing technical support for the product. Responsibilities
Develop block diagrams of potential hardware design concepts from high level requirements. Perform part selection and schematic entry for analog/RF/digital circuit designs Lead the RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, component analysis, modeling, simulation, prototyping and integration. Provide guidance on parts placement and critical routing Troubleshoot prototype and production hardware in the lab using RF, analog, and digital test equipment Assist with the creation and review of technical documentation and proposals Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Software, FPGA, Automated Test, Production to enable feature implementation, integration & debugging to develop new SDR products. Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks. Qualifications
Bachelor's or higher in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years of direct experience developing real-world products from concept to release and after-sales support. Design experience in at least three areas such as RF circuits (LNAs, PAs, PLLs, matching, filters), power supplies, high-speed digital/FPGA systems, A/D and D/A converters, or embedded microcontrollers with standard interfaces. Experience with at least one schematic capture/PCB layout package (Altium Designer preferred) Experience with microwave test equipment such as vector network analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, noise sources, multimeter, and signal sources Able to work on US Government Contracts which requires U.S. citizenship Able to work both independently and as part of a cross-domain engineering team. Self-motivated personality and able to work independently Ability to multitask between two or more projects Join a successful and growing company investing in future success Generous vacation policy Paid five-week sabbatical every five years 401(k) matching Life and long-term disability insurance Employee assistance program Wellness reimbursement Charitable giving company match Seniority level
