Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Applying AWS frameworks like Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework while demonstrating technical credibility across stakeholders, you will distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade‑off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact.
Possessing strong technology and program/project management experience, you will validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks. You will be expected to maintain relevant AWS certifications, develop domain‑specific expertise, and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects
Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of cloud‑based solutions experience (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience, or AWS Professional level certification
Experience in technical program management
Experience with software development lifecycle, or experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or 5+ years of technical work experience
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience, or AWS Associate level certification
AWS Associate level certification, or 4+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
4+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience, or AWS Professional level certification
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
Experience leading large‑scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion
Experience in IT consulting/management with IT transformation in a customer‑facing role

Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges from $138,200 to $238,900 annually, with additional equity and benefits. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $153,600/year up to $207,700/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary.
