is expanding our environmental consulting team and seeking an entry-level
Industrial Hygiene Project Assessor . This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop hands-on expertise in
asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality (IAQ), and industrial hygiene fieldwork . What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct field-based
asbestos surveys, abatement oversight, and air monitoring
in compliance with AHERA, NESHAP, and IDPH/IDEM regulations. Perform
lead inspections
and collect field samples (XRF, paint chip, soil, dust wipe). Execute
mold and moisture assessments , using protocols for microbial sampling and building diagnostics. Support
indoor air quality (IAQ)
assessments focused on VOCs, CO₂, CO, PM, humidity, and temperature. Participate in
industrial hygiene sampling
for various contaminants (e.g., respirable dust, VOCs, silica, formaldehyde). Operate and maintain equipment including moisture meters, IAQ monitors, pumps, XRF analyzers, and more. Complete field documentation: notes, photos, chain-of-custody forms, and technical reports. Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe PDF for report development. Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and project teams. Travel frequently to project sites; extended walking and standing may be required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering , or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel regionally with flexibility for varying work hours. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF. Willingness to work in diverse field conditions and environments. Preferred (Not Required)
