Wastewater Project Manager – Gresham, OR – Jacobs
Base Pay Range $119,400.00/yr – $180,620.00/yr
Responsibilities You’ll be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the projects including profit and loss, permit compliance, safety, quality, and employee supervision and management including staffing, compensation, training and development. Working with other members of our team and clients you’ll build and maintain positive business and customer relationships, and lead the planning, organization, operations, maintenance and improvement of the facilities. You’ll also be responsible for implementing safety policy and procedures and maintaining the operation process control including compliance with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
State ABC Grade 4 Wastewater Operators License, or experience and education to obtain within 1 year
Advanced experience in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater facility
Experience leading, coaching and supervising a team
Proficient performing mathematical and algebraic calculations associated with wastewater treatment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems and ability to operate plant VFDs, PLCs and SCADA systems
Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or College degree in Environmental Science or Business Administration
Possess a valid Oregon Grade IV Operators License, or ability to obtain through reciprocity
Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule
Expertise of the technical aspects of the facility
Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements The work area can involve a working environment indoors and outdoors, with exposure to outdoor elements. Proper environmental attire will be required. Potential hazards include loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance and the use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard. Vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment is required, as is normal hearing with or without correction. In an 8‑hour period you must be able to transport yourself across the facility, ascend and descend stair steps, lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, and use appropriate safety equipment.
