What This Role Will Be Doing

The Manager of National Accounts - Waudena is responsible for managing the account relationship, new business opportunities, selling effort and account management activities for Waudena National Account customers and other accounts as assigned. This leader develops a deep understanding of these customers, their direct competitors, trade-specific procedures, annual contracts, complex stakeholder relationships, and go-to-market tactics designed to increase our share. The leader collaborates with Waudena sales leadership, product management, marketing leads, and account managers to tailor the Waudena value proposition for key National Account clients. Updates will be communicated to the VP of Sales on a scheduled cadence. The role works in a team environment, operates remotely from a home office, and must be near a major airport. Key Responsibilities

Develop plans to identify, cultivate and convert appropriate prospect accounts into new, long-term Waudena Preferred National Accounts. Establish multi-level relationships with key decision makers within existing accounts and develop strategies to increase sales in these accounts. Schedule and facilitate top-to-top meetings with key stakeholders within our accounts and Waudena. Act as single point of contact for these National Accounts while delivering superior customer satisfaction. Identify and create relationships with the agreed-upon decision makers in each account on a regional and national level. Understand how the client becomes successful and provide solutions for the client to reach their goals. Identify the complete portfolio opportunity and prioritize involvement with technical, marketing, and customer service resources. Develop a business plan to increase market share with existing accounts year over year. Develop customer channels of communication to improve perceptions of the value of Waudena products. Communicate clearly with customers what is possible through our strengths, and mediate conflicts with Waudena personnel as needed. Participate in Regional and National meetings with National Accounts. Develop, implement and drive a sales strategy for the segment based on year-over-year growth and footprint expansion. Review sales proposals to ensure they meet revenue and margin targets. Take direction from the VP of Sales and communicate with the VP of Sales, Sales Manager, TM’s & CSR group when needed. Qualifications

Bachelors and/or advanced degree preferred. Ability to analyze and evaluate product lines, systems, and competitor offerings. Ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions. Skilled in negotiation, problem resolution and candid direct communication. 3 – 5 years of experience in business development and/or national account level sales within construction, residential sales, big box or one-step distribution markets. Ability to formulate value-add questions and value propositions to create differentiation. Ability to identify and navigate complex selling situations and develop strategies to overcome them. Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment. Comfortable presenting in front of seasoned clients and industry stakeholders in direct selling and educational settings. Knowledge of CRM systems, MS Office, and Adobe software. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Valid driver\'s license. Ability to travel up to 75%. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with national/regional account bases such as national accounts and one-step distribution. Experience in new business development and advanced sales techniques including strategic and multi-influencer selling environments. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
