Assistant Professor, Economics
Position Summary
The Department of Economics at Rollins College welcomes applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in applied economics, beginning in August 2026, with a particular interest in candidates specializing in Environmental Economics, Public Economics/Public Finance, and New Institutional Economics. Candidates specializing in applied finance are also welcome to apply. Candidates will be expected to conduct electives on applied economics and in their other fields of interest, to contribute to teaching our core economics courses, and to offer courses in the college’s general educational program. The department expects the ideal candidate to explore alternative conceptual and ideological perspectives and to contribute to a pluralist economics department and evolving curriculum. The teaching load is three courses a semester, including core courses in the major, electives, and general education courses for non‑economics students. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics in hand or expected by September 2026 and should possess excellence in teaching at the instructor level or above and a record of scholarship.

Minimum Qualifications and Education
Ph.D. in hand by September 1, 2026; ABDs will be considered.
Demonstrated teaching experience at the instructor level or above.
Demonstrates an understanding of a liberal arts education that includes a student‑centered approach to teaching and learning, providing students with critical thinking skills and a broader knowledge and understanding of the world.
