Laboratory Informatics & Technology Analyst Full‑time

Location: Orlando, FL or Wilmington, DE

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Laboratory Informatics and Technology Analyst to lead the implementation of Epic Genomics for the Nemours enterprise and other laboratory application strategies. This hybrid position (both onsite and remote) supports Nemours’ medical and research laboratory operations by ensuring efficient, accurate use of software applications, technology, and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Lead the Genomics Implementation and act as a critical supporter of laboratory operations.

Build, test, and validate new system functionality, perform workflow and data analysis, and configure applications to meet operational needs while upholding enterprise standards.

Plan, implement, and evaluate system effectiveness, coordinate updates and enhancements, and facilitate hardware installations across IT, patient care, and business teams.

Achieve and maintain application‑specific certification in accordance with vendor requirements.

Provide first‑line on‑call support to end users, enhancing proficiency in laboratory informatics applications, technology, and electronic medical record.

Conduct business and clinical workflow analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Assist in configuring medical and research lab software applications and the electronic medical record to meet operational requirements while maintaining enterprise standards.

Support lab applications, technology, and the electronic medical record through project scoping, implementation, and daily issue management.

Participate in evaluation, testing, and validation of new releases and upgrade functionality.

Develop and apply project management and change management methodologies, including leading projects that impact multiple teams.

Respond to Service Now tickets within defined timeframes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Prior laboratory clinical experience, healthcare operations, or IT experience required.

ASCP Certified MLS must maintain certification if applicable.

Certification in Epic Anatomic Pathology or Clinical Pathology recommended; Epic Genomics certification preferred.

Strong software and application knowledge.

Project management experience preferred.
