Tracking Systems Engineer Location: Huntsville, AL
Contract Position
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance Required
Pay Est. $82.19-$87.19/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Job: Tracking Systems Engineer at Moseley Technical Services Top Space / Defense company.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline.
Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases.
Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs.
Qualifications
U.S. citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related Science/Engineering/Mathematics and 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree plus 6+ years of experience.
Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, especially in aerospace applications a plus.
Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or MagicDraw.
Familiarity with programming languages such Java, Python, MATLAB for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
Ground system design or scheduling knowledge; Tracking mission design knowledge; Satellite communications knowledge; Ground to Satellite communication knowledge; System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture.
Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior.
Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment.
