Lead Electrical Technician

Jabil Under limited supervision, perform repetitive or standard production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Receive instructions through various written and verbal methods. Insert components into a printed circuit board in preparation for soldering. Inspect own work and team members for defects. Properly document problems that occur. Kit parts using bar code reader. Successful completion of IPC-A-610 training class IPC-A-610 certified. Prepare parts for assembly operations. May mask printed circuit boards. May set up and operate automatic machines that are computer controlled. May operate equipment including swage, masking machine, contact system, Icon, asymtek, etc. Perform soldering and/or rework on parts > 25 mil. Perform rework on through-hole assemblies (complex) and may perform rework on SMT assemblies. Perform moderately complex engineering change orders. Route jumpers. Replace parts as needed and directed. May inspect product using microscope. May perform pad and trace repair. May perform BGA rework. May operate welder. May be required to work overtime. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Job Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements
Ability to read and comprehend English verbal and/or written instructions and other documentation ESD Safety Component ID IPC 610 Current Rev Soldering skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software. Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages. Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Seniority level
