Supports the daily operation of an academic department within the Surgery Central Administration, primarily in the areas of human resources, compliance, and financial management, and faculty affairs. Location

Full time, 40 hours per week, day shift. Compensation Range

$55,955.00 – $78,336.00 per year (based on market data, experience, and internal equity). Individual salary will be within this range. Responsibilities

Supports the daily operation of an academic department; represents the department on business affairs and faculty affairs; develops budgets and financial reports; provides input into grant and contract proposals; coordinates human resources activities; liaises with faculty; serves as a resource for lower‑level staff. Essential Functions

Manages the faculty talent acquisition process, processes personnel actions, creates faculty reports, confirms teaching statements and salary letters throughout the year, and maintains up‑to‑date faculty personnel records. Responds to data requests for surveys that determine the school's ranking; works with leadership to resolve discrepancies; manages the faculty database. Compiles necessary documents for promotion and tenure cases and submits them in a timely manner; reviews sabbatical requests for completeness; prepares approvals and notifications. Supports office and leadership; manages the department website; coordinates the leadership’s calendar; arranges meetings. Verifies validity of academic payroll records each month and resolves discrepancies by comparing records. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in an administrative capacity. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Statement
