Job Description

You will be the Mechanical Engineer – Structure IPT Lead for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 2 Rapid Combat Capability (RCC) Structures Integrated Product Team. Our team drives the mechanical engineering design, analysis, and production readiness for the next generation PrSM, delivering the drawings, bill of materials, and engineering releases that enable fast, field ready fabrication and procurement.

What You Will Be Doing As the Structure IPT Lead, you will own the end to end mechanical engineering effort for PrSM Inc 2, guiding a multidisciplinary team through design updates, early field ing support, and cross IPT coordination. You’ll work directly with the Hardware IPT Lead, customers, and Global Supply Chain to translate system requirements into producible, high performance hardware.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead the Structures IPT, setting technical direction and priorities for mechanical design, materials & processes, structural and thermal analysis.

Develop, review, and release engineering documentation (drawings, Bills of Materials, Engineering Release packages).

Create and maintain solid model geometry, perform tolerance and fit analyses, and oversee CAM activities.

Conduct and validate structural and thermal analyses, ensuring compliance with performance, weight, and reliability targets.

Coordinate with other IPTs (Planning, Operations, Global Supply Chain) to align mechanical deliverables with schedule and cost goals.

Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, presenting design status, risk mitigation plans, and field support strategies.

Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovation focused culture.

Identify and apply inventive solutions to complex design challenges, driving continuous improvement.

Desired skills

Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
