SENIOR RF ENGINEER

— Location: Chandler, AZ (Onsite, Monday–Friday). Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time. Position Overview: Our client, a leading Aerospace & Defense organization, is seeking a highly experienced Senior RF Engineer to join their advanced engineering team in Chandler, AZ. This role focuses on end-to-end design, analysis, and development of RF/Microwave/Millimeter-wave communications hardware for mission-critical defense and spaceflight applications. This position will play a key role in technical proposal development, prototype-to-production execution, customer interaction, and adherence to performance, schedule, and cost targets. The Senior RF Engineer may lead project engineering teams and will serve as a technical authority within the program area. Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end systems analysis, modeling, and simulation of RF/mixed-signal systems and converters using advanced analytical tools. Design RF hardware from VHF to millimeter-wave, including digital receivers, synthesizers, exciters, A/D and D/A conversion subsystems. Conduct filter modeling, analysis, and design to meet stringent system requirements. Lead integration, development, and testing of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight programs. Research and evaluate advanced communications technologies for defense and space use. Ensure design compliance with customer electrical, environmental, and manufacturing requirements. Mentor junior engineers and serve as a subject-matter expert within project teams. Act as a technical interface with customers, supporting design reviews and proposal activities. Prepare engineering documentation including simulations, test results, analysis reports, and release packages. Provide input for test procedures, fixtures, and software verification tools. Support cost estimates for RFQ/RFP responses related to engineering and production activities. Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years in RF/Microwave/millimeter-wave design and system development. Expertise in high-reliability hardware from concept through flight qualification and delivery. Proficient with RF modeling tools such as: Gensys, ADS, AWR, HFSS, Maxwell, MATLAB, AutoCAD (or similar analysis tools). Strong foundation in communication systems theory, RF architecture, receivers, synthesizers, PLLs, VCOs, mixers, amplifiers, filters, etc. Hands-on experience designing systems operating from DC through 40+ GHz. Magnetic circuit analysis is highly desirable. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s or PhD strongly preferred. ESPO Corporation
